Introducing the Power of Habit

Quick Write: Write about one bad habit you have and one good habit.
One habit I have is to leave the work that I need to do for the last day. "Procrastinate" One good habit that I have is that I always push myself to the best that I can.

Activity: First watch this video.

Reflection: After you have watched the video, write a reflection defining habit in your own words.
Habit is an act we do without thinking, is the act that comes out of us naturally.A  habit can be defined as good or bad depending on the outcome or reward of it, the good habits give us a good outcome like for example if I have a habit of always doing my work ahead of time not on the last day, I consider that a good habit because I will always be ready and wont be stressing over at the last minute to complete the work. There is also bad habits those are the ones that gives you a bad reward or outcome like going to school late because you always stay up all night playing games, that is a bad habit because your going to fail the class because your never there.

Quick Write: Think about one of the most important memories you have. Indulge yourself in it. Can you taste it? Smell it? Feel it? What if that memory were taken away from you? Would it still exist?

A very happy memory that I have and remember was on when I came to the united states, I was super excited to finally see the big "New York" with all the buildings, also was happy because I was finally going to see my grandparents. It was a big memory for me because it was the first time I got in a plane, I dreamed about that moment a lot of times and to see that it was finally here.

Final Reflection: You previously interpreted the quote “I think, therefore I am.” Interpret the quote once again as it relates to Clive. In other words, does Clive know he exists? Does he exist? What does all of this say about memory? Finally, what’s your brainy explanation for Clive only remembering love and music? Post this final reflection on your blog.

Clive was a man who did not have memory at all but he could only remember the love he had for his wife and music.  He does exist because he thinks and remember the love he has for his wife and music, An explanation for why he only remembers his wife and the love of music could be that there are something's in life that we develop a true deep love and passion for  and they cant be taken away from you, these stays with you forever.

Quick Write:
you known someone who was Have has been on their deathbed and in their final hours? How does it feel, What could be going through that persons mind? , If you have not been in a situation like this before, Try to imagine how it would possibly be. Give details.

I never been in that moment when someone is on his deathbed and final hours but I imagine how it will be, I think is kind of scary seeing the person you love leave this world and there is a lot of emotion going through you at that moment. I think that person is thinking how he will be miss and hes might think how hes leaving his loved ones.

READ PAGES 129 - 131 OF THE DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.

Hes new life was basically in the hospital, His new life is being in a bed in the hospital next to a wheelchair and all the hospital hallways.

2) WHAT DO YOU THINK KANGAROO SONG REFER TO?

Quick Write: Remember independent reading? Interpret the main character in your novel using the framework of mindset. Does the character have a fixed or a growth mindset? Explain why.

In If I Stay the main character is Mia Hall, at the beginning of the book she has a growth mindset   but throughout the story is hard to tell whether she changed her mindset or if it was the same because she falls into a coma but her soul was outside of her body.

Choose one of the quotes below, interpret it, say whether you agree or disagree and connect it to at least one book you have read.

"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." is a quote written by Margaret Thatcher.

This means to me that in life you might have to face problems and battles more than one time to come out victorious. One book I read a while ago can connect to this quote is called the outsiders by S. E. Hinton in the novel the protagonist named Ponyboy goes through a whole bunch of battles and hard times even though hem and his friends were a lower class they didn't stop fighting and never gave up causing at the end of the novel that the protagonist Ponyboy comes out victorious by  making the decision to share his story and begins writing a term paper for his English class, which turned out to be the novel itself.
